PROFILE

LYDO is a registered National Non-Governmental Organisation operating on a not-for-profit basis that was founded in 2018 by TAMWENYA .L. ROGERS and later joined by a group of passionate individuals who shared a common vision of empowering marginalized communities in different districts of Uganda. initially, the organisation operated informally, conducting community outreach programs , advocacy and providing support to vulnerable individuals.

MISSION

To uplift the lives of people in different communities by empowering them to participate in social and economic development initiatives.

OBJECTIVES

1. To train and support young women, school dropouts and vulnerable students through vocational technical skills training.

2. To engage into health education and promotion.


3. To enhance agricultural education and promo0tion for modern farming.


4. To make grants and donations to orphans / children.


5. To promote gender equality and social inclusion.


6. To promote environmental conservation.


7. To promote tourism and wildlife conservation.


8. To partner with government and other agencies in identifying and completing critical infrastructure gaps, promoting sustainable development and community empowerment.
